THE TEN GREATEST FOOTBALL PLAYERS NOT IN THE HALL OF FAME

Nothing inspires more fevered discussion among football fans and historians than the relative merits of various players for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Fans in every NFL city regularly, and fervently, argue about the “criminal” omissions of their hometown heroes from football’s shrine of greatness.

Even though historians readily trot out statistics to prove the case for their favorite candidates, electing Hall of Fame members in any sport is NOT an exact science. Intangibles speak volumes for several players, as do the testimonials of their teammates and opponents who witnessed their value first hand.

So, if you can stand to read yet one more person’s opinion, this article will tackle the issue yet again. Keeping in mind that each of the following players have met the eligibility requirements for induction, here are the ten greatest players NOT in the Pro Football Hall of Fame….
